Sometimes the best views of Bike Week were from behind the scenes.

Michael Lichter's photography decked the walls of the Seminole Road House Cafe's Dog House on Main Street.

All the girls in the Biker Fusion bikini contest were hot, so picking a winner was a challenge but the custom builders serving as judges were up to the task.

The girls in the Dog House's bikini contest held during the Biker Fusion party were the cream of the Bike Week crop.

The weather gods were angry and unleashed their fury on Daytona on more than one occasion.

Entrants in the Dog House's bikini contest came in all flavors - blonde, brunette, and red headed.

Streetfighter action from the first-ever metric only show at the Rat's Hole, Metric Madness.

Miss Rat's Hole 2008 had a knack of making any bike just a little more photogenic. Baggers are definitely hot right now and were well represented at the Rat's Hole Custom Show.

Nitrous, anybody?

For those who think custom bikes are all show and no go, this nitrous fed beauty by 1320 Race Fabrication might change your mind. A closer look at the innovative sideways layout of the Conquest's engine. Tempest Cycles built the 2007 Conquest with its engine sideways and equipped it with a snowmobile clutch. Marlowe B and Ami James were back at the Dog House for another fundraiser.

It was shoulder to shoulder on Saturday as everyone converged on Main Street for a last day of blowin' it out.

Some people are just plain camera shy. I tried to get here to flash me her wonderful smile but she kept turning her head.

For one week in early March, Daytona Beach's Main Street is the center of the motorcycling universe.

All you had to do was walk down Main Street to stumble into a stage full of booty shakin' going on.

It wouldn't be Bike Week without the smells of BBQ, sausages, and kabobs filling the air.
